screen capture

Short Definition
The process of recording content from a computer or mobile device screen, either as an image or video, for documentation or sharing purposes.
Relevance
Screen capture allows users to take snapshots of what’s on their screen. It’s a practical tool for sharing information quickly, especially for teaching or troubleshooting. However, it’s important to handle screen captures responsibly, especially when sensitive data is involved. From an accessibility standpoint, screen captures can be annotated or shared in ways that make complex information easier to digest. For knowledge stewardship, proper use of screen captures helps document workflows and communications while ensuring that captured data is stored securely.
