intersectional

Short Definition
Refers to recognizing how different social categories (e.g., race, gender, disability) overlap to create unique experiences of discrimination or privilege.
Relevance
Being intersectional means considering how multiple identities (race, gender, ability) shape experiences with technology. Applying an intersectional lens ensures that digital tools and systems are designed to address the unique needs of users who experience multiple forms of oppression, pushing tech toward equity and justice.
