historically exploited communities

Short Definition
Groups of people who have been systematically oppressed, marginalized, and exploited over time, often through colonialism, racism, and economic inequity.
Relevance
Historically exploited communities are often excluded from technological advances or subjected to harmful practices like data exploitation. Ensuring these communities lead in the design of intersectional tech futures is critical for building systems that address past harms and ensure care-based technology for future generations.
