virtual worlds

Short Definition
Computer-simulated environments where users can interact with each other and the world around them through avatars. Virtual worlds are often found in games, simulations, and social platforms like Second Life.
Relevance
Virtual worlds, such as online games or social spaces, provide opportunities for connection but may be inaccessible due to high hardware or internet speed requirements. Users in low-resource settings or with limited tech skills can struggle to participate fully. Designing these spaces with different access levels in mind can help reduce these barriers, making virtual worlds more inclusive.
