physical computing

Short Definition
The practice of creating interactive systems that respond to the physical world by using hardware and software to sense and respond to inputs like touch, motion, or light.
Relevance
Physical computing creates interactive systems that respond to physical input (e.g., sensors). While innovative, these systems often require advanced knowledge of both hardware and software. Helping users engage with physical computing opens up creative possibilities, but the complexity of setup and the cost of hardware are common limitations to consider.
