Artist Marc De Pape has redesigned, rebuilt and retuned his unique generative instrument for his solo exhibition at InterAccess.

A sophisticated generative instrument,The Chime poetically translates the impulses and flows of the city into sound. Just as a traditional wind chime creates sound out of air currents, The Chime reinterprets its surroundings into unique sonic arrangements through elaborate sensor mapping and data visualization. Visitors to the gallery will experience delight—and resist the blasé—as The Chime translates their presence and interaction into beautifully composed music.

In its 14th year, the InterAccess Emerging Artists Exhibition, curated by a selected emerging curator, features new media work from local and national early career artists, artists transitioning to new media/technology practices and upper year post-secondary and graduate students. InterAccess is a leading voice on the international new media arts stage and this exhibition offers artists a platform for early professional development.
