About the Community Archive Program
InterAccess’s Community Archive Program will allow you to gain invaluable experience in archive cataloging and learn more about a unique part of Toronto’s media art history along the way. InterAccess is a gallery, educational facility, production studio, festival, and registered charity dedicated to new media and emerging practices in art and technology. InterAccess’s mission is to expand the cultural significance of art and technology by fostering and supporting the full cycle of art and artistic practice through education, production, and exhibition.
As a Community Archive Volunteer, you will help to create a digital catalogue of the organization’s archive materials. This works towards our goal of creating a publicly accessible archive with materials for researchers, artists, curators, and visitors.. Each volunteer will be responsible for cataloguing a specific set of documents and accurately labelling each document in our cataloguing system.
