InterAccess is pleased to present Stop and Go an exhibition of recent work by Montreal artist, Frédéric Lavoie. Frédéric Lavoie's exhibition Stop And Go brings together videos, photographs, drawings, and sound works which centre on the question of distance traveled and the sounds produced by displacement.

Through their projects that are jointly on exhibit at InterAccess, Zev Farber and Dustin Wenzel ask some very old questions - about the relationship between perceptions and facts, and about the perverse value of fictionalizing and mediating facts so as to better understand what they mean to us.

In 1967, the critic Sheldon Renan asserted, "The forms of cinema are proliferating. Every new way of creating or controlling light is potentially a new form of cinema." Illuminating fractions of a shared space, the projects presented here deploy a range of media and modes to foreground the presence of the assembled viewers, and their contact and mediation within an imageless environment.

As part of the OCAD on QUEEN 4th-Year Sculpture/Installation exhibtion series, Hinge will take place at Interaccess Electronic Media Arts Centre and will feature diverse installation works by artists Robin Fitzsimons, Tim Manalo and Alize Zorlutuna.
