Live Coding Audioreactive Visuals with Hydra

In-person at InterAccess - Register here

Registration Fee: $30 Member | $50 Non-Member

This beginner workshop will explore visual live coding in hydra — a free and open-source browser-based video synth and live coding environment — with an emphasis on creating visuals that respond to audio in real time, for use in interactive art and live performance. No coding experience is required.

Participants will learn about live coding, experiment with real-time video synthesis and audio reactivity, explore feedback loops, and modulate images and video.

Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have created their own audioreactive visuals, and performed a short set to music with a projector.

Workshop Requirements

Participants should bring a laptop with:

  • Microphone (built-in is fine)
  • Web browser
  • HDMI out or USB-C
