Pranya

fibre artist and code-poet

Pranya is a fibre artist and code-poet based in Toronto, Ontario. Their writing surveys the peculiarities of desire and pleasure regarding the shifting landscape of techno-capitalism. This is reflected in experimental work for local publications like Kiter Press and Piss Press, as well as being a panelist for the Modern Language Association. Their twin thesis projects, "A Loving Woman" and "The Elastic Self" (2025), devised in fulfillment of their MA in Digital Futures at OCAD University, feature the sentient Fembot as a core motif. "The Elastic Self", a manifesto coalescing disparately-inspired schools of thought into a robust and queered alternative to the fembot, is available at the Art Metropole of Toronto.
