Community Resource Mapping

External Link
Description

Community Resource Mapping is a process used to identify resources in the community that support a student’s transition to work, independent living, and postsecondary education. This process can assist educators in developing naturally progressive transition plans and work-based learning experiences. Through Community Resource Mapping, educators identify a variety of employment opportunities, agencies, and services that are available within the community that align with their student’s interests and needs. In this video, you will learn the community resource mapping process and how to use it to maximize transition planning and work-based learning experiences from ICTW staff, Drs. Nicole Birri and Stephen Kwiatek.

This is a 2023–2025 project led by InterAccess, in collaboration with Tangled Art + Disability, and FEZIHAUS™.
