Maia Scott

About
Maia Scott is an interdisciplinary artist whose creative and compassionate practice spans accessible visual and performing arts, labyrinth design, and community engagement. She teaches at City College of San Francisco, coordinates arts programming at the Lighthouse for the Blind, and is a teaching artist with the Palo Alto Art Center, where she first exhibited and performed in The Art of Disability Culture. A certified labyrinth facilitator, Scott leads movement meditation, creates temporary labyrinths, and integrates the practice into workshops. She co-developed Finger Walks, a tactile labyrinth collection and guidebook for the American Printing House for the Blind, and has presented internationally with the Labyrinth Society. Scott holds an MFA in Creative Inquiry, Interdisciplinary Arts from CIIS, as well as degrees and certifications in dance, therapeutic recreation, massage, and sound healing.
