Lisa Myers

About
Lisa Myers is an independent curator, artist, and member of Beausoleil First Nation, based in Port Severn and Toronto, Ontario. She holds an MFA in Criticism and Curatorial Practice from OCAD University and is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change at York University. Her interdisciplinary practice spans printmaking, stop-motion animation, and participatory performance, often using anthocyanin pigment from blueberries to explore themes of place, displacement, straining, and absorbing. Myers has exhibited at venues including Urban Shaman, the Art Gallery of Peterborough, and the Art Gallery of Ontario, and her writing has appeared in Senses and Society, C Magazine, and FUSE. She has curated extensively across Canada, creating exhibitions that foreground collaboration, cultural memory, and embodied experience.
