Detroit Digital Justice Coalition (DDJC)

About
The Detroit Digital Justice Coalition (DDJC), founded in 2009, is a network of people and organizations in Detroit who affirm communication as a fundamental human right. The coalition advances this vision through the digital justice principles of access, participation, common ownership, and healthy communities. Among its key initiatives is DiscoTech (“Discovering Technology”), a series of community fairs that use interactive, multimedia workshops to explore the impact and possibilities of technology. These events demystify digital tools, raise awareness of communications rights on- and offline, and create spaces for collective learning and empowerment.
