Chanda Prescod-Weinstein

About
Dr. Chanda Prescod-Weinstein (she/her) is an Associate Professor of Physics and Core Faculty Member in Women’s and Gender Studies at the University of New Hampshire. A theoretical physicist, her research spans particle physics, cosmology, and astrophysics, while maintaining strong connections to observational astronomy. She served as topical convener for dark matter studies in the Snowmass 2021 process and as a lead axion researcher for NASA’s STROBE-X Probe. Prescod-Weinstein seeks to understand the origins and history of the universe, while also advancing Black feminist science studies. In 2022, she founded Cite Black Women+ in Physics to highlight and support the work of Black scholars in the field.
