Kim Ninkuru
These Are My Reparations by Kim Ninkuru is a sci-fi-inspired multimedia installation combining film, sculpture, sound, and interactive media. It tells the story of Honey, a Black woman abducted by a corporate AI to exploit her image and music, critiquing how Black femme identities are commodified in digital systems of control.
The work explores the impact of AI, surveillance, and media on Black femme autonomy and self-image. By reclaiming narrative control through immersive storytelling, Ninkuru resists commodification and advances community-centered data stewardship, representation, and digital agency.
