DVP preserves and celebrates disability culture and media, making disabled voices accessible to wider audiences and challenging harmful stereotypes.Tech Literacy & Accessibility: DVP increases tech literacy by making disability perspectives and cultural insights accessible to a broad audience through online, multimedia storytelling. Reducing Harm in New Media: By showcasing disabled voices and stories, DVP challenges stereotypes in mainstream media, reducing harm through accurate, self-determined narratives that reflect the lived experiences of disabled people. Data & Knowledge Stewardship: DVP serves as an accessible archive that preserves stories, insights, and resources from the disability community, ensuring that disability culture and history remain publicly available and community-driven.
