Participants will review an existing slideshow/presentation for accessibility issues and learn how to make content accessible for diverse audiences, including those with disabilities.
1. An existing slideshow or presentation (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides) 2. Laptop or desktop computer 3. Web accessibility guidelines/checklists (e.g., WCAG)
1. Review the slideshow for basic accessibility: alt text, contrast, font size, navigation, and captions. 2. Identify at least three areas for improvement. 3. Draft a plan to implement changes.
This exercise helps participants think critically about digital accessibility and gives them as starting point for creating or adapting presentations to be more accessible for audiences.
