Open Studio

openstudio

Come and hang out while working on your weird and wonderful project!

Open Studios happen every week on Wednesdays, starting at 7pm. These informal labs are the perfect chance for members and non-members alike to get together and see what's happening in the Studio. Bring your projects to work on and to share, give advice or get it, or just nerd out.

In addition to regular Open Studio, InterAccess also has two meet-up groups who meet up during Open Studio hours once a month. Although these are themed Open Studio nights, we welcome everyone to come down regardless of the type of project you might be working on -- the more the merrier!

HandMade Music Toronto at Open Studio

Where: InterAccess Studio
When: Third Wednesday of every month, 7-10pm

Bring your half finished projects, finished projects, and project ideas, and the HandMade Music guys can help! HandMade Music Open Studio nights provide a great opportunity to work on, show and help others with hand made electronic musical instruments.

Run by Andew Lovett-Barron, Stephen McLeod and Alex Snukal, the HandMade Music meet-up group is an informal gathering open to anyone interested in making their own electronic instruments. In addition to running themed Open Studio nights, HandMade Music Toronto organises regular events, concerts and parties at InterAccess and other venues in Toronto.

Wearables at Open Studio

Where: InterAccess Studio
When: Last Wednesday of every month, 7-10pm

InterAccess is super excited about the start of a new Wearable Technology hands-on lab night organized by Erin Lewis, a Toronto-based new media and wearable tech artist.  What are Wearables exactly? The term Wearables -- or wearable technology, e-garments and fashion electronics -- refers to clothing and accessories that incorporate computer and electronic technologies into an item's design and function. The technological components incorporated into a design might serve a practical or aesthetic purpose, or even both! They can be anything from chic tailored coats with subtle integrated bike lights, to belts that allow you to listen to your gut, to illuminated formal wear.

The Wearables Open Studio will meet on the last Wednesday of every month.  Bring along your Wearables projects, ideas and questions!  Learn more about Erin Lewis and her practice at http://luxxnatura.wordpress.com.
