InterAccess's seasonal LGBTQ+ Mixer returns this winter!

Join us on Thursday, February 15 from 7-9PM for a casual social mixer at the InterAccess studio, a space dedicated to new media and emerging practices in art and technology.

This seasonal gathering offers a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ community members to connect, mingle, discuss your latest projects, and spark potential collaborations! Light refreshments will be served.

Using a projector and a sampler, host Nedda Baba will host the mixer with a multimedia soundscape of Middle East politics against a projected collage of visuals, from news anchors to freedom fighters. Where are you in the revolution? You’re invited to dream this up along the steady rhythm of the evening.

ABOUT THE HOST

Nedda Baba is an artist whose practice explores heritage, politics and queer desire from a transnational lens. She has worked in photography, performance art, installation, and most recently music as a DJ. Nedda is also an organizer for Meem Toronto, a community group for queer and trans people from the Arabic-speaking region.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

We regret that at this time InterAccess does not have barrier-free access; we are currently working to improve the accessibility of all facilities.

There are five steps up to our main entrance, with automatic doors. Once inside all facilities are on the same level, and there is an accessible single-user washroom inside the unit.

COVID-19 INFORMATION

For indoor events, InterAccess strongly encourages all attendees to wear masks/face-coverings to reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission and to ensure the continued health and safety of staff, facilitators, and fellow attendees.

We ask that staff and participants screen themselves for COVID-19 symptoms before visiting our space.
