stereoscope

With Rob Cruickshank and Dave Kemp.

We’ll look at the history of 3D, including images and equipment from the 3D heyday of the mid 50s, then learn the basics of how our stereoscopic vision works, and how to create images that have depth, yet won’t strain the eyes. You’ll learn how to use single or paired digital cameras and learn to use popular open-source stereoscopic software. We’ll look at viewing methods ranging from anaglyph (red/blue) glasses to active liquid-crystal shutter glasses, and everything in between.

Participants may wish to bring a digital camera and laptop, although these are optional.

Funny glasses WILL be provided!

Tuesday Nov 17, 7 to 10 PM.

See here for more details!
