Look out for IA member Mitchell F. Chan on Nuit Blanche and BoingBoing!

Friday, October 3rd, 2008

From Mitchell:

Brad Hindson and I have created this installation piece for Nuit Blanch, and I must say that I employed a few tricks I picked up at some InterAccess workshops (But please don’t let Mr. Cruikshank take me to task on my shoddy circuit design! I’m still new!) Anyway, thought you might dig it. It just got posted at BoingBoing (booyeah!) over here:

There are a few notes on the design and construction up there.

Help!

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008

We can do it together!

Our fall exhibition, Beatrice’s Centre for Student Affairs, opens on September 26th and we’re looking for volunteers to help with the event.

We’ve also got a big night planned for Nuit Blanche on October 4th so if you’re looking for a place to crash for a couple of hours why don’t you drop by, hang out, sell some drinks, and sit the show. It’ll be a party for sure.

Email me at: help.me@interaccess.org to schedule a shift.

Thanks!

a little note from Scott M2 of the Ambient Ping:
Hi Everyone! It’s been a while since the Ambient Ping has presented a show in
a nice comfy bar with good food and fine beers
so I have booked 3 terrific sound-artists to create the scapes & grooves
for a Tuesday night at the Central in the Annex. Located right beside
Honest Ed’s and Suspect Video at 603 Markham St, the Central has
all of the above + an intimate main-space to immerse yourself in the
performances + a connected room to reconnect with your friends
at the PiNG
Mark June 24th on your calendars now – we’re really looking forward
to seeing everybody again! ~ Cheers, Scott M2

Noisemaker collection of enclosure excellence

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

MAKE: magazine has a nice post showing some very creative enclosure designs. Why buy project boxes, or use (yawn) altoids tins, when you can do stuff like this? These would be perfect for the Atari Punk Console that you’ll build in my upcoming workshop! Don’t forget that the IA studio now has a drill press, and some shiny new bits!
