A professor from Concordia would like someone from Toronto to repair her artwork at the harbourfront centre so she doesn't have to come out here herself. Paid position Contact her if anyone is interested. Jessica Email from Ingrid Bachmann: Hi Jessica, Thanks for doing this. Hi, I'm a Montreal artist and currently I have a kinetic piece called Pinocchio's Dilemma at Queen's Quay Gallery at Harbourfront Centre that is having some trouble. I am out of the country and can't come down. One of the components of the piece is a nose that extends and retracts from the wall. I'm having some technical troubles with the mechanism. I'm looking for someone to take a look at it and if possible, fix it. I think the problem is mechanical. One of the connectors is loose and an on/off switch needs to be added. The nut on the belt also needs to be tightened. I can pay$20/hour and for up to 5 -6 hours. Monday December 3rd would be great since a colleague (Dana Dal Bo) who worked on the piece will be in Toronto at the gallery at 10:30 on Monday. The gallery keeps pretty strict 9-5 hours. Dana will have a soldering gun, solder, shoegoo, mulitmetre, screws, screwdrivers, wirestrippers, switch, etc. If anyone is interested, please contact me at bachmann@xxxxxxxxxxxx or at (514) 996-4571 and cc agroombridge72@xxxxxxxxxxx and underskirt@xxxxxxxxx Many thanks!
