Hi Sandor,
Check out abacom for RF <www.abacom-tech.com>. They're affordable, have good support and are located in Toronto. You can pay more and get modules that take RS232 in and simply put it out the other side, or you can assemble the circuits yourself and save a few bucks.
best,
nick

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a circuit to serially transmit a byte of data by radio frequency, around 6 feet minimum, to a receiver where it is turned back into a serial digital byte.  This is for remote control of a sculpture that I don't want to connect wires to.  If anyone has ideas, or can point me in a direction, please let me know.

Thanks for your time.
Take care,
