Definitely a job for car stereo equipment. Since these are commodity items you should be able to find something cheap and LOUD. The benefit to car audio being that it runs on 12 VDC. You could get a small car battery and charger and charge it every night before using it. Alternatively you could install a battery powered blaster. For even more fun cover the coffin lid with solar panels to charge your batteries during the day.. > > > My second question is about infra red remote control.. is it possible > to use a large number of infra-red transmitters simultaneously, or > would they interfere with each other? Others may have better answers to this but I think this would be difficult without getting fancy. If each robot was transmitting on the same modulation frequency and they transmitted at the same time garble garble garble. One way around this would be to have a polling situation where there is a transmitter on the ceiling sending out messages to each robot sequentially and saying ok your turn bot 1, your turn bot 2 etc. Of course this means you also need receivers on the robots. Maybe someone else has some clever ideas. jim > > any thoughts greatly appreciated, > > thanks, > > Sam. > > > A! > R! messages saved at http://www.interaccess.org/arg/arg-list.html > G! unsubscribe/help requests to mailto:Majordomo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > A!
