hi all -

the following message bounced because the subject started with "help" (mailing list software too smart for its own good...) please reply to Matt Gorbet <mgonline(youknowwhatgoes here)gorbet.com> if you're interested.

P.S. just a reminder, if you're quoting e-mails when replying to ARG-list messages, *please* be sure that you don't quote people's actual e-mail addresses in the body of your text, otherwise they will show up in the archives and be readable by SPAM e-mail address harvesters.

Wondering if anyone (in Toronto) is interested in a quick gig for a
friend, helping to make an outfit for a TV show with LEDs sewn into it
that respond to muscle movements - sort of a bionic man suit to show
which muscles are moving in realtime.

The show is an exercise programme in which an actor will be outfitted
with EMG sensors and then use an exercise device - they would like the
LEDs to respond in realtime to the EMG. I don't have details on what
machine they're using, but they have an expert who does the EMG stuff
who you could meet with to figure out the interfacing. Seems like it
would not be too hard to do with Max or possibly a u-controller
depending on the EMG system. They may have people from
wardrobe/costumes who can help with the costume design sewing.

They have a small budget for this work and a tight deadline - They want
to rehearse the show Oct. 5.
