: Sent via the Art Interface Device mailing list: aid@interaccess.org : Use your "Reply All" to reply to the list, "Reply" for private response Minutes: Minutes AID Group Meeting February 1st 2004 Held at: Interaccess Meeting commenced at 1:30pm Present: Ben, Mike, Rob, Stefan, Tim, Yeshua What we accomplished: * Rob debugged the USB chip, he concluded that its probably a driver issue, because the hardware seems to be working fine. The original issue was that the serial data would only be passed to the terminal once the USB device was turned off. * We have an ongoing task list for the AID launcher, to happen by the end of this month! For the launch we need 6 worked solutions for the AID. These worked solutions must include: - Schematic of the peripheral - Parts List - Wiring List - Construction Notes / Tools required - Code for the software side. We have chosen 6 worked solutions, 3 input and 3 output: Aid members have taken responsibility for 5 out of the 6 solutions. We need someone to take on the documentation development of the AtoD Bend sensor. - Switch Reader (Ben's responsibility) - A/D Bend Sensor (unowned) - Polaroid Rangfinder (Rob's responsibility) - Sensbar-120V relay box (Mike's responsibility) - Audio/Video Playback (Ben's responsibility) - Motor Driver (Yeshua's responsibility) * We have decided on the standards on which these worked solutions will be documented. The mainbord wiring list will be the basis of this documentation template (The online version will be updated shortly-Stefan's responsibility) All vector-board cordinate's will be specified as horizontal:vertical eg A0:5 * The standard AID schematic program will either be proteus or geda. Ben will Report on which program is the officially AID sanctioned program. * We have decided on four AID demo's to show at the launch: - Switch combinations control sensbar patterns. (Mike's responsibility) - "Step and Repeat" TOT project. (Ben's responsibility) - Bend sensor controlling video scrubbing (Mike's responsibility?) - Yet undetermined Motor driver demo (Yeshua's responsibility) Next week we will: * Continue with our assigned taks * Plan out the "Getting started" guide for AID: - How to get a chip programmer? Links to schematics/manufacturers. - How to build a programmer? - Construction notes (tools, solder tips, external resources) - Part and tool suppliers. - How to build a mainboard? - How to build a test-board? - standalone AID test application - links to worked solution pages (on community site) * Complete the AID language to support the devlopment of worked solutions.
